A Cosmic Chat with Bryan S. Glosemeyer
This week, we sat down with Bryan S. Glosemeyer, the acclaimed author of the Shattered Gates Series, to discuss his latest book, "Beyond the Gates Infernal." Set in a distant future, the story follows Sabira Stargazer as she faces cosmic challenges and confronts her past, all while the galaxy's fate hangs in the balance.
Based in San Francisco, Bryan combines his love for tech, tabletop RPGs, and mythology into his writing. His books are action-packed and emotionally resonant, exploring themes like revenge and honor.
Critics are raving about "Beyond the Gates Infernal." The Bookbeard's Blog calls it "brilliant, ambitious science fiction," and @cyborg_book_club on Instagram recommends it for fans of The Expanse and Dune.

Exciting Tweaks to Our Dad Joke Books!
I've got some exciting updates on my Dad Joke book series for all the humor enthusiasts out there. First, I'm working on a second edition of the original Dad Joke book. This isn't just a reprint; I'm adding a special "Thank You" section to acknowledge the incredible backers of my Kickstarter campaign. Plus, I'm throwing in some additional pages to keep those laughs coming!

Book Review: "Snapdragon" by Kat Leyh - A Lasting Tale of Magic and Inclusivity
"Snapdragon" by Kat Leyh is a graphic novel that's hard to forget—a true hallmark of a great book. This magical realist tale follows Snapdragon, a young girl who befriends her town's rumored witch, Jacks. Snap uncovers real magic and her hidden strengths as they bond over Jack's unique work of selling roadkill skeletons online.
The story celebrates inclusivity, featuring a diverse cast that breaks societal typecasts. Characters are rich in age, race, and sexual orientation, making the narrative both refreshing and relatable. Leyh, known for her work on "The Lumberjanes," masterfully blends magic with reality, challenging us to look beyond surface appearances.
As a resident of Vermont, where roadkill is a common sight, I found the book's focus on animal conservation particularly resonant. But what truly sets "Snapdragon" apart is its staying power. Days after finishing it, I continually reflect on its themes and characters. The story sticks with you, compelling you to ponder long after turning the last page.
In summary, "Snapdragon" is an emotionally rich, thought-provoking read that combines magic, friendship, and a journey to self-discovery. It's a must-read that leaves a lasting impression.
Family, Business Milestones, and LinkedIn Updates.
First, let's discuss celebrations: we had two birthdays this week! Our youngest turned the big 3, and our middle child celebrated lucky number 7. It's been a memorable week for the family, between balloons, cake, and laughter.
In business news, we're incredibly close to closing on the radio station. The only remaining step is getting an affidavit signed by a woman with the right of first refusal on the radio tower land. Once that's out of the way, I can sign the purchase agreement officially, and we'll be all set!
And speaking of business, I've added my company, Yankee Kingdom Media Corp, to the LinkedIn business section. Feel free to connect with us there for more professional updates.
So, between family milestones, near-completions in business, and expanding our professional network, it's been an eventful week. Stay tuned for more updates, and here's to more exciting news!
