'Robot Dreams'—A Lesson in Friendship for All Ages

As a father of three, I always seek books that entertain my kids and offer valuable life lessons. 'Robot Dreams' by Sara Varon is a rare gem that does both, and it does so without using a single word.

The story revolves around a dog and a robot who share a friendship tested by time and circumstance. The illustrations are simple yet emotionally charged, capturing the highs and lows of their relationship. My kids were glued to the pages, and so was I.

What struck me most was the book's ability to tackle complex themes like friendship, loss, and moving on, all without dialogue. It's a reminder that our past experiences shape who we are today, a lesson I want my kids to understand as they grow up.

The story takes an emotional turn, leading to some great family discussions about what it means to be a true friend. It's a book that's not just for kids but for anyone who understands the value of relationships.

In short, 'Robot Dreams' is a must-read for families. It's a wordless wonder that speaks volumes.

Personal Updates

Autumn's here, and it's a season of change for us. The kids are back in school, which means a bit of peace at home and the joy of hearing about their new adventures every afternoon.

We've kicked off Tae Kwon Do classes again. It's a fun way to bond and stay active, especially now that the air conditioners are out and we spend more time indoors. Speaking of which, the leaves are starting to turn, and the kids are already planning their Halloween costumes.

On the work front, there's a slight pause with my radio station project. We're waiting on some title searches for the radio tower sites I'm buying. It's a bit of a waiting game, but it gives me some extra moments to spend with the little ones.

So, here's to making the most of those spare minutes and hours. Whether it's a quick game of catch or reading bedtime stories, every moment counts.
