Podcast Updates

On Thursday I had back-to-back Livestream interviews, which I found refreshing and fun, especially since it was with 2 great returning guests.

My 7 o’clock show was with the golden age comics guru and creator of the ‘Crimebusters’ comic, Scott Harris.

He came on the show to talk about his latest Kickstarter The Crimebusters #1-4: Supernatural Mystery Adventure! The tagline is as follows: “When Krampus possesses a classmate, The Crimebusters must face their worst fears to save Christmas!”

His passion for continuing the Boy Comic series from the golden age of comics is infectious and he is such a delight to talk to.

In Episode 174 of ‘Storycomic Presents’, I was very excited to have come back the internationally acclaimed and talented comic creator,  Samuel Vera.

He came on to talk about his latest Kickstarter: There's an Alien in my Toilet #2- All Ages Sci-Fi Comedy.

His comic series about Doodie is so fun and educational too.

Project Updates

This past week I worked more on my ‘Appliance’ game.  On the draft of the sourcebook, I have about 42 pages on it so far.  I have been writing up some system mechanics and class stereotypes.  I am really hoping to have a draft set of settings and rules ready before the end of the year.

What I’m reading

This past week I read Book 4 of ‘5 Worlds: The Amber Anthem’.  Obviously if one is this deep into the series, the ability to decide whether or not the series is good is irrelevant at this point.  I am deep into the stories and into the characters now.

This continues to be a very plot-driven series where the reader follows along with the story of the 3 main characters.  In this book, we learn the secret of one of the character’s pasts and why they are slowly disappearing.

The main villain also seems a bit scarier, but not in a horror way, but in a way that shows us how easily public opinion can be weaponized.

Personal Updates

This past Sunday, I visited the old abandoned cemetery my little brother visited on his birthday before he died.  Legend has it, that he would drive by and see it from the interstate highway and decided to one day find a way to get to it; and it so happened he finally found a way to get to it on his birthday.

Anyway, I’ve been making the pilgrimage to the abandoned cemetery every year in honor of him.  This last time, I came back with some hitchhikers… in the form of 4 ticks.
