Podcast Updates
This past week on Nerd Stock Talk, JP gave us an introductory lesson in Options. It was pretty interesting, but I’ll probably just stick to stocks right now personally.
On Thursday, I had a wonderful interview with a role-playing game illustrator by the name of Carmin. Her art style is so fun and I was very happy that I had a chance to talk with her.
Project Updates
This past week I have been listening to the “Save The Cat” audiobook and have been studiously working on my ‘beat sheet’ and updating my bulletin board by taking down the ‘2 Years’ note cards and replacing them with my ‘Sidekicks’ storyline.
What I’m reading
A few years ago I had the great opportunity to meet the more famous Barney Smith while I was at a conference in San Antonio Texas. I spent the entire afternoon with him and I had a great time learning about his work making art on toilet seat covers. I also painted a toilet seat cover and donated it to his museum. Before he passed away a few years ago, his close friends wanted to help memorialize his work by publishing a book through Kickstarter. It’s a great coffee table book and I highly recommend it to anyone.
Personal Updates
I’m back walking again almost every day and have seen a slow increase in energy, happiness, and overall health. I’m a huge fan of my Fitbit and use that religiously to track my sleep and resting heart rate. Over the last week, my resting heart rate has gone down 3 points, and I think it is mostly due to getting out more.
More good news: we now have 2:11 minutes of extra daylight!
