Podcast Updates

Our little podcast vacation is over and we are back on the air with episode 51.  On Thursday I interviewed the nationally acclaimed entertainer, Rusty Gilligan!  Although he has an incredible resume that includes acting, professional wrestling, voice acting, We had a great time chatting about his drawing, inking and cartooning.

He had some great advice regarding how to network and how to connect with his audience.

Project Updates

After finishing up with Pixar in a Box, I’ve decided to put my Toilet Paper Head book on the back burner and concentrate again on how to rework my ‘2 Years’ book by re-scripting it a bit.  I tore down my branching novel visualization and hung back up my bulletin boards so I could map out with index cards my ‘2 Years’ outline.  Renewed excitement!

What I’m reading

This past week I read the miniseries, “Crucible”. It was from Impact Comics and meant to wrap up the publishing line by bringing an end to original heroes storylines while attempting to relaunch the line.

As a fan of The Comet, I was sad to see his story end, but how it ended was such a beautiful Shakespearean tragedy, his return in Crucible completely extinguished a beautifully tragic end to a hero by bringing him back as a one-dimensional villain.

I understand that Crucible was created for a relaunching hope of the publishing line, but it did nothing for the fans of the Impact Comic heroes.

If anyone liked it, I would love to hear from you.

Personal Updates

This past week was an odd week.  I moved a few more things on eBay while I cleaned up the basement a bit more.  The six-year-old is back to remote learning and folks are coming back from the holiday break.  Work-wise, this has been a transition week.

I always like to track the hours of daylight we get as well and I’m happy to see that we are now getting roughly an extra minute of daylight each day.  The days are getting brighter both figuratively and literally!
