Podcast Updates

This past week we recorded Episode 55. I welcomed back our good friend and acclaimed science fiction and comic book author, Mike Luoma!

Mike talked to us about his latest adventures in exploring ancient First Nation stone structures, his 15th anniversary Vatican Assassin book, his last Alibi Jones book, and some of his articles found on Medium!

This past week we also had our inaugural episode of ‘Nerd Stock Talk’ with JP and Mike.  It went really well and news of Gamestop stock made the episode even more timely.

Project Updates

This week I’ve started teaching myself how to use Indesign for work purposes and I am hoping to utilize that knowledge to put together my Niger Proverb book. Over this past year, I have taught myself a lot of different skills from audio and video editing and now dipping my foot back into the publishing aspects of things.

What I’m reading

I just read ‘Heck’ by Zander Cannon and it was a great book!  it was a hefty 250+ pages, but the story carried me through and it had a great take on Dante’s Inferno.  The character development was good.  Great amount of action, intrigue, and emotion.

Highly recommend this story for anyone who likes hell-themed adventure stories.

He proves that adult themes can absolutely be drawn in an accessible cartoon format.

Personal Updates

This week and over the next 4 weeks I’ve been taking a loved one to medical appointments which have made my normal daily routines in a funk, but the human condition is easily adaptable and I’m sure that by this time next week, it has become routine.

Life, in general, is also getting brighter.  Vermont is the first state to have vaccinated more people who have contracted COVID 19, and as of this writing, we have 55 extra minutes of daylight!
