Storycomic Weekly Newsletter: April 16th
This is a middle-grade graphic novel series, but Siegel can tell a story that I believe is more well written than many adult fantasy epics that try to evoke a similar level of world-building. Others do it at the expense of character development, but Siegel weaves both internal and external conflicts for the heroes in a way that seems natural.

I am an immediate fan of this game. The setting reminds me a bit of my two favorite tabletop roleplaying games: ‘Shadowrun’ and ‘Changeling: The Dreaming’. The City of Mist combines the real world and the fantasy world. Like other PBTA games, this one focuses on group play instead of individual storylines.

I really have started to prefer the space-faring comic titles as it seems like more epic events take place that has lasting meta plot effects as compared to the more earth-bound titles.
I am also curious to see where the storyline is going. Al Ewing, the writer is making the not-so-subtle comparison to the team with the Avengers, by calling the team the ‘Space version of the Avengers.’

I read Jeffery Brown’s ‘Lucy and Andy Neanderthal’. It’s a kid’s graphic novel book that was educational in nature that taught the reader about Neanderthal life 40,000 years ago. It was a fun and quick read and he did a very good job understanding who his audience is for the book.
