Podcast Updates

This past week I have been on my yearly month break from podcasting, giving me room to work on other video projects.

I did, however, get to be a guest on Jeff Haas’ show, ‘Traversing the Stars’ with a couple of other pop culture interview show hosts.  It was fun seeing Kurt Sasso again and also being able to meet Cody from the ‘Keeping it Geekly’ podcast as well.  It was an honor to share the screen with such intelligent and kind podcasters.

Project Updates

Project adjacent things are done this week.  I finally got my Etsy site up and running and posted some of the postcards I made that have World of Warcraft-themed vintage travel postcards.  It was fun learning how to get those available, and now I had to brush off my photoshop skills to make new postcards too.

I also started drafting a script that I am working on for a series of YouTube videos that combine my love of World of Warcraft with my passion for investing.

What I’m reading

I read ‘Barb the Last Berzerker’ by local Vermont Children's book author brothers Dan and Jason.  It is a fun children’s graphic novel with a great mix of humor, adventure, and character development.

I particularly loved that it was heartfelt and funny, and I could tell that Dan and Jason had an enjoyable time making the book.  This is what stands out for me.  The sheer joy and humor in the book made it engaging.

Personal Updates

This is the time of year when things are slow around the office.  This is always like it between Christmas and New Year. After a few weeks of frigid cold weather, we are now in a warm spell.  All the snow is basically melted, and I could walk around the backyard and clean up some fallen branches from the heavy winds a few days back.

I have also started playing World of Warcraft again, which is why I have been doing more related projects to keep my creative momentum.
