Storycomic Weekly Newsletter: May 15th
ALWAYS POSTED A WEEK EARLIER ON PATREON
Podcast Updates
This past week was a slow podcast week due to an interview cancelation of Storycomic Presents, but we still had our Sunday Nerd Stock Talk episode! JP and I chatted about potential winners in the upcoming infrastructure bill. It gave me some really good ideas for future investments.
Project Updates
It was a slow week for projects that were Storycomic – related. From a creativity perspective, it was spent most of the time playing some child-friendly roleplaying games from Amazing Tales with my 6- and 4-year-old daughters.
What I’m reading
My 6-year-old raided my bookcase and found a Star Wars: The Clone Wars graphic novel called “Shipyards of Doom” and has been eagerly reading it to me and to her younger sister every night.
I am such a proud dad to see my daughter discover Star Wars on her own. She was even more excited to discover that Disney Plus has all of the Star Wars too.
Personal Updates
I bought a knock-off brand lego set that was about 2300 pieces. I was really impressed by the quality of the pieces and had a genuinely great time putting it together. It was a great diversion from the stress of the pandemic transition we are living through now, but also that and playing more World of Warcraft Classic, cut significantly into my project time.
This past week was the first time in over a year that I went and worked in the office. It was only on Monday and Friday but it is a slow start to normality. I’m also sleeping a lot better this past week and am excited to say that as of this writing, Vermont is now at 67.3% of the eligible population has received their first vaccine dose! Almost there!
