On Sunday, JP and I started our cryptocurrency series where we focus on the history and viability of a specific cryptocurrency.  We are going chronological, so in our inaugural segment, we talked about bitcoin.

On Thursday, I was excited to have with us the internationally acclaimed and award-winning comic book writer, Erica Shultz!

She talked with us about her latest Kickstarter project The Deadliest Bouquet.

Project Updates

Getting back into drawing up my Sidekicks comic. So, I had to look back on my vintage issue 4 of Tadman which is the basis of this new series reboot.  I also brushed off my Save the Cat software to work on the outline again.

What Iā€™m reading

It was a slow week of reading as my day job and my yard work chore list got too far ahead of me.  But objectively speaking, I did read more of my fancy Dad Joke book for daily inspiration.

There are a lot of dad joke books out there, and many of them carry the same uneventful puns, and it is rare to find a book that has some that are not filled with elementary school level jokes or ones that are pun in objectively bad taste.

This book is mostly filled with funny puns that are delightfully witting and also groan-worthy in the workplace, at church, and in the playground.

Personal Updates

That sweet, sweet hedge

That sweet, sweet hedge

As I mentioned earlier, this was a busy week of work and yard work.  My next-door neighbors moved back to Missouri and turned their house into an Air B n B, which is completely fine, but it did necessitate getting a hedge planted so that I would not scare anyone away when I walked out in my backyard in boxer shorts.

This also marks my last week of exclusively working from home.  I packed up my home office set up and brought it back to my work office.  Not going to lie, I teared up a bit.  Extremely excited that at least here in Vermont, things are slowly getting back to normal.  Now in Vermont, we are at around 72% first dose vaccination rate.  The numbers dipped a little because the eligible population went from 16 years and older to 12 years and older.  Still!  Vermont is the best in the nation for vaccination rates!
