Podcast Updates
It was another 3-show week for me. On Saturday, JP and I had a guest on. Our old high school teacher chatted with us about how he used stocks to save up for his retirement.
On Tuesday, we were excited to have back with us is the internationally acclaimed founder of Etan Comics, Beserat Debebe.
He talked to us about his latest Kickstarter campaign: JEMBER: Becoming Somebody HARDCOVER (African Graphic Novel)
Then on Thursday, I had some real fun chatting with the widely celebrated Artist & Illustrator, Ashley Ribblett!
Project Updates
This week was more of the previous week. I worked on my Sidekicks Script and experimented more with Procreate. I am excited about the direction!
What I am reading
This past week I reread Watchmen. This is the third time I read this Alan Moore masterpiece and it’s amazing that it feels like a different story based on where I am in my own life journey and where things are going in the world.
If you have not reread Watchmen since the pandemic, I recommend reading it. It holds a different sense of duty, responsibility, and produces an odd sense of hope that I did not extrapolate from previous reads.
Personal Updates
Halfway through this week, I started my little staycation to take a well-earned mental health break. I also got to clean up more of my basement office space by selling more random stuff on eBay. Pretty much all the missing Lego pieces I needed to put together some acquired Lego sets finished coming in this week. Happy to see the Harry Potter castle all finished now.
Also, 3:41 extra minutes of daylight!
