Project Updates
This week I continued doing the daily drawing for Inktober. I’m excited that I have been able to keep the momentum going so far and now have about a week left.
What I’m reading
This past week I picked up Shing Yin Khor’s young adult graphic novel, “The Legend of Auntie Po”. It was a great read and highlights the struggles of Chinese immigrants to the United States during the 1800’s. it was a powerful story, educational, and inspiring. I am so happy to discover more graphic novels that tell stories that we all should be reading.
Personal Updates
I have been floating between 202 and 200 pounds this past week, so for posterities sake, I am just going to stick to 202 pounds. I will definitely work to 200 pounds by the end of the month.
This past week I worked hard to finish up outside chores before the snow starts falling. Our back yard has some fantastic old maple trees. It is great for the summer as it keeps everything shaded. It is also gorgeous to look at for foliage. The downside is what I had to do over the last few days: hours and hours of raking and piling leaves.
Also, I bought several months ago a larger mailbox. Today I finally installed it. Nothing like putting off for almost a year, a task that only took 30 minutes to do.
