We have had a couple of great interviews this past week. We interviewed Bill Columbe from Y Comics where he talked about his latest Kickstater. We also interviewed acclaimed author and career coach, Kris McPeak about her latest best selling book. both of these interviews are available on our youtube channel, and also on almost every podcasting platform.

Project Updates
I’ve been working in my spare time on a pretty hefty project that I’m excited about. It’s a solo role-playing game/branching story in graphic novel form. I will go into detail as the project evolves, but its kind of a sequel to my Tadman comic book series that I have free to read for all of my patrons.
What I’m reading
I just finished reading the X-Men / Fantastic Four mini-series this week.
It was okay… the story was mediocre and my biggest complaint is that with characters that have been around for over 60 years, and the fact there have been hundreds of writers involved in telling their stories, it is easy to drift back to two-dimensional characterizations of established heroes. Seriously you would think after thousands of adventures that Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm would get past petty insults.
I mentioned in a previous blog post that the new X-men reboot kind of threw me back into collecting comics again. It was kind of bearable when they had 6 active X Titles with the reboot, but now they have 10, along with a handful of one-shots that keep popping up.
Keep in mind, print comics is far from dead. Marvel has 59 active titles.
Personal Updates
I sometimes kind of wish that I hated my day job, so I could spend more time creating. But working for a small nonprofit in Vermont and providing supports for people with disabilities is so rewarding and I always consider myself grateful that I found a career I love.
I’ll take this moment to plug one of my day job events. We are hosting a virtual Cerebral Palsy Conference on October 8th and 9th. We are also excited to be having two famous folks as our Keynote Speakers: Josh Blue and Maysoon Zayid.
