Podcast Update: Final Week of Podcast Break
As I wrap up my last week off from podcasting, I’ve made great progress behind the scenes! I’m excited to share that my Vermont Artists and Authors podcast is fully queued up, with new episodes set to release every Wednesday through mid-March.
It’s been nice to take this brief break and focus on organizing and preparing for the months ahead. Having a solid schedule in place means I can now dive back into interviews and content creation with renewed energy.
Thank you for sticking with me during this downtime! I’m looking forward to getting back into the groove with fresh episodes and conversations soon. Stay tuned for more updates!
Project Update: Still Working on Daddest Jokes
Progress on Daddest Jokes continues! I’m still deep in the editing and organizing phase, making sure every joke earns its place in the book. It’s a fun, detailed process, and I’m excited to see how the collection is shaping up.
The goal remains the same: to create a book that’s packed with dad-approved humor that will get groans, chuckles, and laughs in equal measure. There’s something incredibly satisfying about taking these jokes from idea to polished punchline, and I can’t wait to share them all with you.
Thanks for your patience and support as I work to get this book just right! More updates to come soon. Stay tuned! 😊
Book Review: Land of Black Gold
"Land of Black Gold" is yet another fantastic entry in Hergé's beloved Tintin series, delivering the perfect blend of adventure, humor, and mystery that fans have come to expect. In this gripping tale, Tintin, along with his loyal dog Snowy and the ever-grumbling Captain Haddock, delves into the world of oil, espionage, and Middle Eastern politics. The story kicks off with a bizarre crisis—cars around the world are breaking down due to contaminated fuel, leading our intrepid reporter to investigate the roots of this global disturbance.
What sets "Land of Black Gold" apart is its remarkably prescient take on issues that are still relevant today, such as energy crises and geopolitical tensions. Hergé's storytelling is as sharp as ever, weaving complex scenarios in which Tintin navigates with his characteristic wit and bravery. The artwork is meticulously detailed, capturing the exotic landscapes and bustling city scenes that enrich the narrative.
For fans of Tintin, and new readers alike, "Land of Black Gold" is an engaging adventure that offers suspense and laughs in equal measure. Reading this book was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, reminding us why Tintin remains a timeless hero in the world of graphic novels. As always, Hergé masterfully captures the essence of adventure, making each panel a delight to explore.
Personal Update: Welcoming the New Year
Last week marked the start of the new year, and we kicked it off with a lovely family dinner. My parents came over and brought Christmas presents for the kids, which made the evening extra special. Watching their excitement reminded me how fun and magical this time of year can be.
Work-wise, the last two weeks have been a bit of a balancing act with Christmas and New Year’s falling on Wednesdays. It created an odd rhythm, making it tricky to get into a solid work groove. Despite that, I managed to take some productive steps, including updating my business's strategic plan to reflect new initiatives for the year. It feels good to have clear goals to guide the direction of the station moving forward.
On the eBay front, my side hustle continues to hum along nicely. I’ve been consistent with listings and sales, and the extra income is a big help in covering a few monthly bills. It’s satisfying to see it all come together, little by little.
All in all, it’s been a good start to the year, filled with family, planning, and a sense of forward momentum. Here’s to keeping that energy alive as we dive deeper into 2025!
