In one episode, we were transported to the enchanting universe crafted by Vermont Children's Fiction Author J.L. DuRona. Delving into his latest work, "The Ghosts of Warble Hall," part of the Berge Sisters series, we entered a world where whimsy meets mystery. Joining Lacey Berge and stepsister Cal on their escapade through St. Agatha's Boarding School and the enigmatic Warble Hall, we encountered spirits and secrets that blurred the lines between the past and the supernatural. J.L. DuRona's passion for storytelling shone through as we explored the heartwarming connections his tales evoke. This episode was a delightful blend of creativity, intrigue, and imagination.

Alyssa Delabruere: Connecting Art, Education, and the Natural World

The second episode introduced us to the inspiring journey of Alyssa Delabruere, an accomplished teaching artist and art activist from Vermont. Alyssa's artistry transcends mediums from plein-air painting to printmaking, collage, and photography. Her creative journey intertwines seamlessly with her dedication to nurturing budding artists of all ages. From her artistic adventures in France and New Mexico to her role in the UK, Alyssa's experiences paint a vivid picture of a life infused with art and education. This interview delved into her creative process, her role as a teaching artist, and her return to the scenic Green Mountains of Vermont.

These captivating interviews shed light on the diverse facets of storytelling, artistry, and education. As we explored the worlds crafted by J.L. Exploring 'Dadder Jokes': A Podcast Adventure

This week, I enjoyed joining three podcast interviews to discuss my latest project, 'Dadder Jokes' Kickstarter. It's been an exciting journey, sharing the heart of this unique joke book with a broader audience.

One key focus of 'Dadder Jokes' is its clean humor approach. In an era where offensive content is standard, this book takes a refreshing stance, offering family-friendly laughs without compromise. It was a joy to explore this aspect and highlight the importance of humor that aligns with positive values.

Beyond content, 'Dadder Jokes' stands out in its presentation. The decision to present the book in full color adds an extra layer of engagement, setting it apart from traditional joke books. It's about enhancing the reader's experience through visuals and creativity.

Participating in these podcast conversations allowed me to share the creative journey behind 'Dadder Jokes.' It's incredible how podcasts provide a platform for connecting and exploring ideas. 'Dadder Jokes' Kickstarter isn't just a project; it's a journey filled with laughter and shared humor. I'm thrilled to continue this journey with you all, anticipating the project's growth and impact. Stay tuned for more updates and interviews as this creative odyssey unfolds.

Oh. This happened to me.

Educational Adventure: 'The Extincts: Quest for the Unicorn Horn' Review

Get ready for an exhilarating journey in 'The Extincts: Quest for the Unicorn Horn' by Scott Magoon. This graphic novel seamlessly merges thrilling adventure with valuable education.

Meet Scratch, Martie, Lug, and Quito, part of R.O.A.R., a secret organization. Their mission? Retrieve an ancient unicorn horn from Siberia. The story unfolds with suspense, humor, and environmental awareness.

The humor engages young readers through puns and witty dialogue. Scratch's journey to prove himself adds relatability and camaraderie themes.

What sets this book apart is its educational aspect. The adventure introduces extinct animals, connecting fiction with real-world learning. Each species mentioned gets a dedicated info page. Climate change awareness and a call to action are included.

The international adventure setting adds excitement. Magoon's blend of missions and eco-consciousness is impressive.

'The Extincts' strikes a chord, making learning an adventure and fostering planet responsibility. As a reader who values the educational angle, I was captivated by this engaging narrative that educates while entertaining.

A Week of Radio Dreams, Family Celebrations, and Summer's Farewell

While bidding farewell to summer, my week has been a dynamic blend of radio aspirations, family milestones, and treasured moments.

The eagerly awaited FCC license for my radio station is still pending, but I'm meticulously using this time to prepare for the online streaming experience. The digital realm holds immense potential, and I'm diligently gathering information to ensure a seamless launch. Excitingly, plans for sister internet radio stations are also in motion, opening doors to even more possibilities.

As we navigated radio ambitions, a special celebration added sparkle to our days. Our oldest marked a milestone birthday, reminding us of the fleeting passage of time and the beauty of growth.

Amidst these endeavors, our home transformation journey continues. This week, I purchased carpet for the downstairs bedroom project, enhancing comfort and aesthetics.

Summer's end may be near, but our family is determined to soak in every remaining moment. We're weaving memories through family outings, laughter-filled evenings, and spontaneous adventures.

In a world buzzing with activity, my week has been a symphony of dreams, connections, and the embrace of fleeting moments. As we bid farewell to summer, I'm reminded to savor the present and welcome the upcoming chapters.
