ALWAYS POSTED A WEEK EARLIER ON PATREON

Podcast Updates

I had a few cancellations this week, which was a blessing in disguise. It allowed me to catch up on some overdue tasks and tie up loose ends. However, it also means that I'll put in extra effort to schedule and record more interviews in the upcoming weeks to compensate for the lost time.

While it might require additional hustle and dedication, I'm up for the challenge. I'm determined to ensure my schedule is filled with engaging interviews to bring valuable content to my audience. So, stay tuned for an exciting lineup of interviews coming your way as I work diligently to make up for the cancellations and deliver quality content to you all.

Project Updates

I've received the fantastic designs for the cover artist of my 'Dadder Joke' guest book, and I couldn't be more thrilled! I'm eager to kickstart this project and bring it to life. While my initial plan was to launch it on Father's Day, I've decided to adjust the timeline and get the campaign up and running earlier, ensuring the book will be ready for delivery for Christmas.

I believe this change will provide a wonderful opportunity for people to gift their loved ones the 'Dadder Joke' guest book and spread some joy during the holiday season. With the Kickstarter campaign in full swing, I can't wait to see this project come together and make a meaningful impact. Stay tuned for updates as we move forward on this exciting journey!

What I’m reading

This past week I read Volume 1 of ‘Chu.’, it was a fun comic book that blends humor, gore, crime, mystery, and sci-fi entertainingly. I didn’t realize it at first, but the spin-off of the acclaimed CHEW series introduces us to Saffron Chu, the sister of the main character Tony Chu.

As a cibopars ( Yes, I also had to look up this word…), Saffron possesses the extraordinary ability to uncover secrets from anyone she shares a meal with. She uses this power alongside her boyfriend, Eddie, to pull off daring heists and con people. However, their luck takes a nosedive when they steal from a powerful crime boss, triggering a dangerous pursuit. Saffron then needed to rely on her quick thinking and an insatiable appetite to outsmart their pursuers and survive.

CHU is an inventive and visually stunning comic, thanks to the vibrant and expressive art by Dan Boultwood. The story unfolds briskly, packed with unexpected twists and turns that will keep me engaged from start to finish. Prepare for a hilarious and gory adventure featuring memorable characters, with Saffron Chu leading as a non-nonsense anti-heroine armed with snarky wit.

I enjoyed it and need to read its predecessor, ‘Chew’.

Personal Updates

In the past week, I've been fully immersed in my new side job, delving into the realm of sales and acquiring valuable skills. Although I can't disclose all the details, a thrilling career move is in the works. I'm eagerly awaiting the completion of the necessary paperwork, which typically takes around 45 to 60 days for approval. I apologize for the cryptic nature of my announcement. I'm also cautious not to tempt fate prematurely.

Shifting gears to matters closer to home, progress has been made on my projects. Fortunately, I've found assistance in the form of a skilled individual who will aid in the completion of the drywall mudding. This development brings us closer to the ultimate goal of painting the room, creating a renewed sense of accomplishment and a visually appealing space.

Additionally, I recently ventured into lawn care, taking on the responsibility of mowing the lawn for the first time. Drawing inspiration from the concept of "no mow May," I allowed the grass to grow freely, enabling the vibrant blooms to flourish and providing a delightful spectacle for the diligent bees.

In a delightful turn of events, this year marked the revival of a cherished tradition—my eldest daughter and I embarked on our annual Memorial Day weekend Yard Sale adventure. Regrettably, due to the unforeseen circumstances brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, we could not partake in this delightful escapade last year. Though our endeavor fell short of surpassing our previous record of exploring 44-yard sales in a single day, we managed to peruse through a respectable 33. While we may not have achieved our desired outcome, we view this as an opportunity to regroup and strategize, with the ultimate objective of reclaiming our record in the coming year.

Exciting developments lie on the horizon, and I eagerly anticipate sharing further updates on these captivating ventures. Stay tuned for more compelling stories and memorable experiences.

and… it’s now taken apart again.
