Podcast Updates

This past Tuesday, I was excited to have the highly talented and internationally revered Comic Art and Graphic Designer Seth Martel back with us!

He was here to discuss his newest YA graphic novel, ‘The Mare’.

We had a great time chatting about the symbolism of color and how to create a gripping supernatural, coming-of-age story.

Then on Thursday, the talented and internally acclaimed comic creator James Walton came on the show!

He was here to discuss his latest project, the epic space comic series Stagnant Waters!

He also has some great advice on creativity, perseverance, and the rewarding and inspiring motivation behind building worlds.

Project Updates

This past week was a bit of a hiatus regarding projects, allowing me to inject some extra fun into my work. I'm thrilled to share that I successfully uploaded not one but two awesome 'From Azeroth to Wall Street' edutainment videos on investing, inspired by the epic Warcraft character classes!

Picture this: a magical blend of financial wisdom and virtual adventure, where the thrilling realm of Azeroth collides with the intricate dynamics of Wall Street. These videos are a one-of-a-kind fusion designed to captivate both seasoned investors and gaming enthusiasts alike. Trust me; it's like leveling up your investment skills while aspiring with your favorite Warcraft heroes.

While the initial viewership might not have skyrocketed, I'm excited for what's to come. As I continue to churn out more content in this exhilarating series, I do not doubt that the viewership will take off like a fiery dragon. So stay tuned because the next installment promises to be even more epic, fueling your passion for investments and satisfying your gaming cravings. Together, let's explore the intersection of Azeroth and Wall Street and unlock a whole new level of financial adventure!

What I’m reading

I took the time to read James Walton’s ‘Stagnant Waters’ issue number one this week.  I love seeing how comic creators get their epic stories started, and James’ Stagnant Waters is a master class in reader initiation.

James Walton's 'Stagnant Waters' issue number one is an absolute gem in the world of comics. It effortlessly blends the ordinary with the extraordinary, intertwining a fantastical space opera with its protagonists' seemingly banal day-to-day lives. Walton's masterful storytelling brings these disparate elements crashing together in a breathtaking clash of storylines. From the very first page, readers are drawn into a captivating world where cosmic wonders and mundane realities collide in a mesmerizing symphony of suspense and surprise. How Walton seamlessly transitions between the extraordinary and the ordinary is a testament to his storytelling prowess, keeping readers hooked and eager to uncover what lies ahead.

One of the highlights of 'Stagnant Waters' is the rich tapestry of alien species that Walton introduces. Each turn of the page reveals a new facet of this intricately crafted universe, where diverse extraterrestrial beings coexist and interact. Walton's attention to detail and the depth he brings to these alien civilizations is truly commendable, immersing readers in a vibrant world teeming with life. The interactions between these species offer insights into their complex relationships, sparking our curiosity and leaving us yearning for more.

The first issue of 'Stagnant Waters' concludes with an electrifying cliffhanger that leaves readers exhilarated and hungry for the next installment. As we turn that final page, the promise of what lies ahead lingers, beckoning us to join the characters on their extraordinary journey. With its impeccable blend of ordinary and extraordinary, diverse alien species and a gripping narrative, 'Stagnant Waters' has firmly established itself as a must-read comic series that will ignite your imagination and keep you on the edge of your seat.

Personal Updates

What an exciting week filled with exciting progress on my new business plans! I found myself propelled forward as I delved into productive meetings with lawyers and bankers. Talk about a power combo! These discussions left me buzzing with anticipation for the incredible opportunities that lie ahead. It's always fantastic when you know you're making the right moves.

But let's not forget about the incredible moments of fun and adventure outside of work. I soaked up the sunshine and made unforgettable memories with the kiddos. We embarked on spontaneous backyard escapades, turning our ordinary surroundings into a magical realm of imagination. The warm weather was the perfect excuse to embark on epic quests and take on adventurous errands around town. Who knew running errands could be so thrilling?

Amid all this excitement, I channeled my inner handyman and conquered the downstairs bedroom project. With a touch of DIY magic, I completed all the drywall work. Patting myself on the back for a job well done! But, alas, the journey doesn't end there. Next week holds the promise of more drywall mudding adventures. Brace yourself for another round of dusty challenges as I transform the room into a masterpiece.

So, life is a grand adventure, whether conquering the business world, exploring the great outdoors, or diving into home improvement projects. With each passing day, I'm reminded that success comes not only from work but also from seizing the thrilling opportunities that unfold around us. Here's to an upcoming week filled with achievements, laughter, and unexpected escapades!

We didn’t find a bike, but we did find pizza!
