As the year winds down, it's a natural time for reflection and planning, even in the midst of a quieter week for project work. I find it important to keep this section of our blog active, as it serves as a vital tool for accountability and motivation.

Acknowledging this fact is crucial in a week where direct project work hasn't been the focus. This practice keeps me accountable to our supportive community and my goals. This transparency is key in the journey of creative work, where progress isn't always measured in visible output but in unseen planning and strategizing behind the scenes.
Reflecting on Past Successes
This period of relative quiet is also a time to reflect on the past year's successes, like the successful Kickstarter for 'Dadder Jokes.' These achievements remind us what we've accomplished and a beacon for what's possible as we move forward.

Progress on the Home Front and Holiday Preparations
This week's most notable development has been the work on our downstairs bedroom. The construction team has made substantial progress, and a major milestone was creating the hole for the stairwell. This change, while reducing some of Edith's office space, is necessary to improve our home's layout. We're looking forward to the enhanced functionality and additional storage space this renovation will bring. Though initially apprehensive about the loss of the office area, Edith is excited about the potential of the new storage solutions that will accompany the finished project.
Festive Preparations in Full Swing
Amid the construction buzz, we've also been busy wrapping presents and preparing everything for Christmas. There's something truly magical about this time of year, and wrapping gifts while surrounded by the festive atmosphere has been a delightful experience. The anticipation of seeing our loved ones' joy as they unwrap their presents adds to the season's excitement.
Looking Forward to Christmas
Our family awaits the celebrations with the holiday just around the corner. The combination of home renovations and holiday preparations has made this December a busy yet fulfilling month. We're all looking forward to the warmth and joy of Christmas, a time to relax, enjoy each other's company and reflect on the year that's been.
