We added three episodes to our show library this week.  On Sunday, I was excited to have with us  the highly renowned and talented comic creator and illustrator,  Nate Lovett.

He talked about his already successful Kickstarter: PUNK RAWK NINJA #1

On Tuesday internationally acclaimed and brilliantly creative fantasy author, David Trotter came on the show. He talked with us about his live Kickstarter, Birthrights, Audiobook Edition Release which follows up on his Kickstarter last fall of his successful hardcover book version of ‘Birthright’.

On Thursday we had on the show, the worldwide celebrated and talented comic creator,  Jorge Medina.

He's here to talk about his latest Kickstarter: The Adventures of Wonder Duck in: Nothing to Muse.

He had some great stories and advice for those who are looking to make their own comics.

Project Updates

This past week was slow project-wise. I did a bit more advertising of my book and was very excited to have some support from the local books store, Bear Pond Books.

What I’m reading

I really enjoyed the quick read ‘Donut Feed the Squirrels’ by Mika Song. This 100-plus page all-ages graphic novel has a fun and simple story about 2 squirrels who discovered the delightful delicacy of donuts after they burnt their pancakes.

I really loved Mika’s illustration style and the simple and direct story is full of heart and is accessible for humans to read at any age.

The message of the book is universal: Fresh donuts taste better than burnt pancakes!

Personal Updates

Another adventurous week at work with some transitions of positions and reaffirming the mission of the agency which is to ‘Ensure that our neighbors with disabilities are at home in their communities.’

Also, my lab results came back from my annual physical, and my cholesterol and other numbers were the best they have been so far.  Losing weight helps a lot; both mentally and physically. I am so darn grateful for where I am right now.

The flowers are starting to pop out!  This is my favorite time of year.
