Project Updates

I worked more on Sister Kitten backgrounds for the book, and I am excited about how it is coming along.  I have the outline pretty much done as well and I will first draw out the pages and then finalize the script for it.  It might be backward to some, but I think it will come easier for me at the same time.

What I’m reading

I have been doing a lot of sequential art research and forgot I had a giant ‘Spy vs Spy’ book from the great Antonio Prohias.
First, it was nostalgia reading the strips, and then as I put on my cartoonist hat, I really began to appreciate how Prohias was able to say a complete story without words and embrace the rare quality of having both protagonists also be antagonists.

He drew Spy vs Spy from 1961 until 1987.    It was some good trivia for me to discover that others drew it in his style after 1987.

Personal Updates

This past week my friend Rick finished the backyard walkway, and it looks great! I really like making sure there are a couple of projects done outside every year.  This year it was the cedar hedge planted and the backyard pathway.

Last year it was the installation of the garden shed and more bushes and perennials planted.

Also, this past Friday the family went to the Shelburne Museum for the day.  It was our first post-Covid family outing and it was a great time!
