ALWAYS POSTED A WEEK EARLIER ON PATREON

Podcast Updates

Another great week of podcasts. This past Saturday, JP and I chatted about some tips we use to make sure we do not lose too much money in our investments.

Then this past Tuesday, we were excited to have with us the internationally acclaimed filmmaker, Asif Akbar.

He talked with us about the challenges and opportunities of filming feature-length movies during COVID 19 and gives some great advice for experience and new screenwriters.

On Thursday, we were excited to have with us the internationally recognized and award-winning illustrator, Anoosha Syed.

We talked with Anoosha about the successes and opportunities she has had over her past 5 years as a full-time freelance illustrator and character designer.  She also provided us with some great advice and tips.

Project Updates

It was pretty light on project work this week.  I did do some more Procreate sketches of redraws of my comics from my junior high school days.  I’m utilizing this as an opportunity to learn more about Procreate for future projects.

What I’m reading

This past week I read issue 3 of Crimebusters by Scott Harris King.  He was our guest a few months ago on Episode 47 of Storycomic Presents. He was promoting this comic book back in late November last year.  I read the first 2 issues and really enjoyed this one as well.  Scott is very good at throwing the reader straight into the story.

Personal Updates

Not done yet. Still need to get more pieces ordered.

Months ago I bought a giant box of Legos from the Facebook marketplace, the lady I bought them from, did not know what Lego sets they came from, so after doing some research, I discovered some of the Lego kits I have acquired through the site, Brickset.com. to find missing pieces to these kits has been an endeavor but I have also discovered that bricklink.com has sellers who have individual Lego piece inventories.  Over the last few weeks, I have been getting in the mail some missing Lego pieces to help me put together some of these Lego sets I now have.  These sets range from space shuttles and fire trucks, and Indiana Jones kits; but the biggest one so far is a Harry Potter castle that I’m in the process of putting together.

Also, this was the start of warm weather outside.  Winter is on the way out.  Also… 3:19 extra minutes of daylight!
