Podcast Updates

This past week I had a couple of fun interviews.  On Tuesday we had an internationally acclaimed and talented comic creator and founder of Peda Entertainment, Peter Chizoba Daniel come on and talk about his latest Kickstarter and we had fun chatting about how to run a comic book publishing company from the ground up.

On Thursday, talented comic creator of Stuffed Rock Studio, Dylan Goss came on and chatted about his talk about the webcomic, Mara.  We also talked about the difference between comic creator communities and tabletop roleplaying communities.  Definitely enjoyed the hour I spent with him.

Project Updates

I’m slowly plugging away on my “Appliance” game.  I have been setting up some specific object-based skills.  It is all basically in a rough draft notes format, but I am still having some fun with it.

I also worked on more page formatting for my Dad Joke book this past week as well.

What I’m reading

Doing a bit more research on FATE systems, I stumbled upon ‘The Secrets of Cats’ role-playing game created by Richard Bellingham.  It is a very manageable 60-page book, with a good 20 pages of it an adventure module.

I have always been a cat person, so I found the game itself a delight to read.  I do not know Bellingham personally, but it is greatly apparent that he loves cats and the magic system he created for cats is fun and creative.

After reading it, it helped me greatly understand how to make a roleplaying game with unique and alternative player characters in a FATE system.

Personal Updates

I reached my new goal, I am officially down to 193 pounds so far.  That makes it 30 pounds that I have lost since I started with NOOM back in July. My next milestone is to get to 190 pounds.  Ultimately, I want to be at 174 pounds.  That is when I officially go from being ‘overweight’ to ‘normal’.

The two daughters got their second COVID 19 vaccine shot this past week as well.  They were champs and had no side effects either.

My new Christmas cardigan!
