This week we had two more podcast interviews. Two really fun ones too.  The Tuesday interview was with Dan and Robert Zangari; a father/son fantasy author team.  We talked about their newest Kickstarter, the Prisoner of Tardalim.  I really enjoyed their conversation and learned how the worked together to build an expansive and immersive fantasy world.

On Thursday, we interviewed Martin Lloyd, the creator of Amazing Tales.  I have been a big fan of his game ever since I started playing it with my daughter when she was 4 years old.  He gave us some insight on how the created the game and we got to be the first podcast where he talked a bit about his upcoming game, Amazing Heroes

Project Updates

So, I’m part of a group of other comic book creators and I decided to share with them my upcoming ‘Sidekicks’ graphic novel/branching story/solo role-playing game project and it got torn apart significantly.  They made all good points, so I’m going to work on it again.

I now, sent over to them my ‘2 Years’ book for a good look over and see what they have to say.  Feedback is trickling in, and I’m optimistic.

What I’m reading

Are you reading Cable too?

Are you reading Cable too?

I mentioned in some previous posts that I’m reading the in X-men titles.  I read the first 4 issues of the new Cable series.  I need to do a bit of research to figure out why Cable is now a young man and not the old gruff guy he was when I read him 20 or so years ago.

Despite that it appears to be a younger Cable, I like the story line so far.  He got into possession a mystical space sword and the storyline around it seems really fun.  I’ll give the series a bit more reading before I determine if I’ll keep up with it.  I’m enjoying the writing and the characters in it so far.

Personal Updates

September 18th was a long day for me.  I got up around 3:30 am and drove my wife to the hospital and she gave birth to a baby boy!

He had some breathing issues, but now as of this writing, he is doing much better.  It will be an exciting few months, and despite all the craziness happening in the world right now, there is always some fun, exciting, and good news around.
