Leaping into the wide world
A few weeks ago while I was recovering from gallbladder surgery, I was doing a lot of research into how other creative sites update their stories and comic books.
It turns out that I have been extremely overproducing…
Publishing four completely separate works once a month and every week is a pretty tall order that I have given myself to do. I have successfully been able to consistently update my website with original content for 170 straight weeks and still get a master’s degree, marry a woman, start a career in the non-profit sector, and have a baby. Well technically I was not the one who had the baby…
Now in order for the website to grow and succeed, I will be adjusting my production to every other week. So what does this mean for all of you?
The website will still be updated every week. This part is for certain. But in the off weeks, I will be building up the site by increasing visibility in other social media platforms, reworking old comics and re-editing already published works. I will also spend more time building up an audience for each of my work. The challenge that I have faced in the past, is that all the work I produce is so distinct from the other; it has been hard to find one type of core audience for the website. I will now be able to take the time to concentrate on marketing the site.
So, although new content will be out every other week, there will be increased visibility for the all the continued creative endeavors that Storycomic has in its repertoire.
Let me know what you think? What would you like to see added to the site for resources and ease of navigation?
